The Presbyterian Church is the most prominent feature in Stillwater village. Across from the church is the former Stillwater Academy. This was an old schoolhouse that is now home to the Stillwater Historical Museum and Society.
Stillwater has always been an agricultural community. Located in this area are lime kilns, which used to burn lime to enrich the soil. They are now obsolete and becoming lost to time and the overgrowth of vegetation.
Fun Fact: An intact kiln still exists on Millbrook Road, a little more than two miles from Stillwater village.
